We are looking for a Country Manager to our customer Leica Geosystems A/S, The Danish Selling Unit.

In Denmark, Leica Geosystems has offices in Søborg and Odense. The Danish sales organization has 37 employees, along with service and support. Their service workshop is located in Søborg.

You will be located in our divisional headquarter in Søborg, Denmark and domestic and international travel is only required for this role at a moderate level.

The country manager is responsible for the sales department in Denmark, ensuring that the unit stays on budget while growing both business, profitability and employees, and continuously aiming to ensure being the number 1 provider in the Surveying and  Construction market segment.

Your constant focus will be on developing and executing business strategies to achieve both short and long-term goals, driving customer centricity and sales attitude within the organization, while developing and maintaining a highly skilled team of sales specialists, ensuring that everybody contributes to maintaining positive and trust-based relations with business partners, colleagues and authorities.

As Country Manager you report directly to the Senior Leadership Team, EVP Geosystems Global Sales, Katherine Broder, providing market insights and strategic advice.

The candidate

The ideal candidate has minimum 5-10 years of experience in selling within the heavy construction industry, has leaderships skills and experience, including the capability of providing direction to team members both locally and remotely, and to provide accurate concise feedback to stakeholders.

Experience within developing technologies for the Surveying and/or Construction markets will be highly desirable.

You hold excellent communication skills (written and verbal) including documentation and reporting. You are able to form strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders within both Leica Geosystems and Hexagon and customers. You possess strong strategic thinking skills, responsibility and accountability, ensuring that people around you experience career progression and professional development opportunities.

You have a high level of personal drive and interpersonal skills, allowing you to interface effectively at all levels and functions, and ensuring the further development and enhancement of company culture.

Key responsibilities:

Main parts of the job will be developing and implementing business plans to extend market shares and improve cost-efficiency. You will be overseeing the company’s business operations, financial performance, investments and ventures, and drive M&A within Denmark for Geosystems.

You will be supervising the Surveying and Construction market, key competitors and their product offerings, market drivers and associated trends, ensuring that our products will stay the number 1 choice for our costumers worldwide.


-       Relevant Bachelor’s Degree (e.g. Engineering, Business, Technology), or equivalent combination of education and experience 5+           years, preferably within a global organization

-       Fluent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and perhaps Sales Force

-       You hold a profound sales background, preferably from a similar industry

-       Fluent Danish and English (verbal and written) is a pre-requisite. Additional languages (e.g. German or Swedish) would be                       viewed favorably

Experience within these areas would be an advantage:

-       Understanding branching methods of Surveying and Construction solutions and workflows

-       Building and enhancing the company’s public profile at events, speaking engagements etc.
